L.BUS 350 - Managerial Finance Credits: 3
Finance is about using information to make good decisions. This applies to businesses and non-profit organizations in general, but specifically to each area of business from marketing to production to IT to HR and more. In order to do this you will learn how a dollar received (paid) today differs from a dollar received (paid) in the future. That time value of money concept will assist in valuing debt instruments, equities, and other streams of cash flows so that you can make informed choices among various investment options. Finally, the course will introduce you to the concept of risk and how it impacts the decisions firms and investors make.
Prerequisite: L.ACC 227 or L.ACC 228 Co-requisite: None General Education Classification: Not Applicable
