L.MDS 550 - Intersectionality and Disability This course examines how disability intersects with other social identities, such as race, gender, class, and sexuality, to shape diverse lived experiences. Grounded in Disability Studies and intersectional theory, this course explores the compounded effects of multiple forms of oppression, such as ableism, racism, and sexism. Students will critically analyze how intersecting identities impact access to resources, inclusion, and rights, while also exploring strategies for advocacy and social justice that embrace the complexity of these interconnected systems.
