L.CHE 111 - General Chemistry I Credits: 3
The first part of a two-class lecture sequence in General Chemistry intended for students planning to pursue a science career. This course introduces students to foundational concepts in chemistry, including naming and properties of atoms and compounds, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, atomic structure, bonding, and phases. In addition to understanding those concepts, students will develop their independent learning and problem-solving skills. Lecture only. Offered every fall semester.
