L.ENG 245 - Critics and Creators Credits: 3
This course focuses on the analysis and production of a literary genre, engaging students in both critical reading on, and creative work within, the genre. The course aims to balance the analysis of literary form, a genre’s relationship to history and culture, and the process of writing within, and experimenting with, the genre’s formal and imaginative boundaries. Possible genres for this course include poetry, fiction, and non-fiction as well as their sub-genres such as science fiction, fantasy, literary journalism, etc. Prerequisite: None Co-requisite: None Pre or Co-requisite: L.ENG 145
