L.SOC 365 - Research Methods and Data Analysis Credits: 4
An examination in the ways in which social scientists investigate society and social phenomena. The course explores issues in research design, ethics, and application and explores various methodologies in quantitative and qualitative data collection. Additionally, students will explore and employ data analysis techniques, including qualitative inquiries and statistical procedures using computer software. Students will gain experience in creating research questions and hypotheses, data collection, data coding, and analysis and interpretation. Prerequisite: QR Requirement; L.SOC 101 or L.SOC 115 ; One additional L.SOC course Co-requisite: None General Education Classification: Not Applicable
