L.KIN 370 - Fitness Assessment & Prescription


Credits: 4

This course is designed to take clients (students and faculty/staff) through a survey of physical fitness assessments. The data recorded from these assessments will be utilized in the development of personalized exercise prescriptions for the improvement and maintenance of fitness while serving as the personal trainer for your clients. During this course, special emphasis is given to the organization and implementation of a comprehensive health program. The students’ knowledge of the body’s immediate response to exercise and nutrition, as well as its long-term adaptation, will be utilized to develop personalized exercise prescriptions and aid in helping clients achieve their health and fitness goals.
Prerequisite: L.KIN 050 , L.KIN 322 ; L.KIN 344 ; First Aid/CPR Certification; Not open to First-Year Students
