This crisis leadership course will explore the concept of crisis leadership by investigating what constitutes a crisis, examining the nature of leadership in democratic organizations, and determining in what specific ways crisis leadership is different from leadership as such. The students investigations will be aided where necessary by theoretical background, relevant concepts, and terminology gleaned from selected readings, which will provide a proper, initial framework within which to understand, further investigate, and discuss crisis leadership.
