L.LIB 230 - Building A House of Living Stones-CT Credits: 3
Building a House of Living Stones examines the way in which the spaces where Catholics gather to worship, both in the past and the present, symbolize their understandings of who God is and who the community is that worships there. By examining churches from the early church, the middle ages, early modernity, and the contemporary period, we will consider the unity and diversity of those visions of God and Church. By participating in the work of Habitat for Humanity, we will consider the implications of those visions. This course will involve attendance at daily mass and approximately 45 hours of service learning. Prerequisite: Engaging Communities (FC) and Written Communication (WC) Co-requisite: None General Education Classification: Catholic Traditions-CT
Fee: This course has a fee of $25 Restrictions: Instructor Permission Required
