Student Learning Outcomes - Health Sciences

1. Students will demonstrate an understanding of foundational knowledge in the natural, behavioral, social, and health sciences essential to health professions.
2. Students will effectively communicate health-related concepts to diverse audiences using appropriate oral and written skills.
3. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the scientific process, research methods in the health sciences, and the role of research in advancing knowledge and professional practice in the health sciences.
4. Students will integrate and apply knowledge from the health sciences to health and wellness initiatives, interventions, or contemporary health issues.
5. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the influence of cultural, environmental, and personal variables on individual experiences with, perceptions of, and access to healthcare.
6. Students will analyze contemporary ethical issues in the health sciences and reflect upon the consequences of the actions of individuals, groups, organizations, or governments on the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
