This experiential and interdisciplinary course aims for students participating in the Loras College semester study abroad program in Ireland to understand how the socio-cultural dynamics of Dublin have been shaped by a myriad of historical and contemporary forces. Through course readings and discussion seminars, experiential activities, and community based learning, students will develop an original research project in order to contextualize how the complex nature of everyday life in Dublin has been influenced by a plethora of cultural traditions as well as other geographic, political, economic, sociological, and environmental factors. Acceptance into Ireland Study Abroad Program required.
