L.BIO 260 - The Human Body in Health and Disease-ES Credits: 4
A course designed for non-biology majors that investigates everyday structure and normal function of the human systems. In addition, some common diseases, the role of genes, health issues and interactions with our environment will be discussed. Other topics may include the biology of cancer, AIDS, and effects of alcohol and drugs upon bodily function. Prerequisite: None Co-requisite: None General Education Classification: Scientific Inquiry & Innovation-ES
Lecture/lab Three lecture periods and one two-hour laboratory period per week.
