The first part of a two-class lecture sequence in Organic Chemistry. This course provides understanding of the structure and bonding of carbon containing compounds, the foundations of chemical reaction and mechanism applied to hydrocarbons, and introduction to methods of chemical structure analysis. Lecture only. Offered every spring semester.
