L.ETH 325 - Healthcare Ethics Credits: 3
This course will investigate standard topics in healthcare ethics and legal issues such as reproductive decisions, death and dying, research and experimentation, and allocation of scarce resources, with examination and application of the use of ethical principles in healthcare facilities and in creating public policies. Healthcare ethics is an advancing field amongst professional philosophers and professionals working in the health care field such as nurses, physicians, hospital managers, rehabilitative experts, and caretakers. These entities will face ethical dilemmas in their work life and need the knowledge base, moral principles, and professional communication skills to discuss and problem solve appropriately. Prerequisite: L.KIN 250 or L.SOC 365 Co-requisite: None General Education Classification: Not Applicable
