Racial Justice, Minor

The Racial Justice minor will take an interdisciplinary approach to the study of racism, white supremacy, and racial justice in the United States. Like the Gender Studies minor, the Racial Justice minor will provide students with a grounding in sociology and history through their required courses. This will provide them with a common language and base of material from which to draw in their elective coursework.

Student Learning Outcomes - Racial Justice

1. Students will be able to explain the ways in which race and racism are built into the mirco, meso, and marco levels of society.
2. Students will be able to articulate the ways in which race shapes experiences in the United States.
3. Students will be able to identify and evaluate varied methods for achieving racial justice in the United States.
