Student Learning Outcomes - Health Sciences
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of foundational knowledge in the natural, behavioral, social, and health sciences essential to health professions.
- Students will effectively communicate health-related concepts to diverse audiences using appropriate oral and written skills.
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of the scientific process, research methods in the health sciences, and the role of research in advancing knowledge and professional practice in the health sciences.
- Students will integrate and apply knowledge from the health sciences to health and wellness initiatives, interventions, or contemporary health issues.
- Students will demonstrate an understanding of the influence of cultural, environmental, and personal variables on individual experiences with, perceptions of, and access to healthcare.
- Students will analyze contemporary ethical issues in the health sciences and reflect upon the consequences of the actions of individuals, groups, organizations, or governments on the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities.

General Education Requirements
Requirements for the major in Health Sciences (B.S.):
To be eligible for graduation with a Health Sciences major, a student must earn a C or higher in all courses counted toward the major. Students cannot double major in Health Sciences and Kinesiology.
